During the recent rain storms here in Sydney the headquarters of one of Australia’s largest fast food chains, KFC, was unfortunate enough to have a large amount of water come through their data centre. This resulted in the UPS being temporarily submerged and as a result damaged beyond repair. Needless to say they needed a new UPS ‘stat’.

Working quickly with the team at Eaton we guided the customer through the process of correctly sizing the UPS to meet current and future demands for system uptime in the event of a power failure. We then were able to utilise in stock equipment to build and install a brand-new 9kVA Eaton UPS fully configured with brand new batteries – all within 14 days.

A great solution delivered in a super-quick timeframe that restored complete UPS protection to all critical equipment in the data centre.
