The Touchpoint Team
Nick (together with Bill) founded Touchpoint in 2009. Nick has over 20 years experience in the Australian IT industry and originally cut his teeth delivering support solutions for IBM and Sun Unix Systems. Husband to Lana and dad to Will, Rafi and Abi, when not at his desk Nick can regularly be found coaching one of his sons’ footy teams or trying to finish his latest home renovation project.
Bill (together with Nick) founded Touchpoint in 2009. Bill has over 20 years experience in the Australian IT industry selling just about anything that goes into or comes out of a large data centre. With great depth of experience on all types of legacy systems, from a micro server to a supercomputer, Bill can help you find the one you need or find a new home from the one you don’t. Married to Sarah and father to three girls – Daisy, Bella and Edie. Outside of the office Bill is usually found on the water chasing pelagics or crafting his next woodwork masterpiece in the workshop.
Ashley has been with Touchpoint for more than four years and heads up our Solutions Team. With many years experience working in both Sales & Technical roles across the industry there isn’t much that Ashley doesn’t know about all the latest server, storage and networking solutions available. When out of the office Ashley can be found eating in the latest restaurant, riding his motorbike or taking his two dogs – Frank and Stanley – for a run at the local park.
Abhushan is key member of the Touchpoint Solutions Team focused on building quotes, sourcing equipment and coordinating our global network of suppliers. His primary task is the regular provision of email updates and phone check-ins to ensure each of our customers know exactly what is happening with their order and ultimately has a completely satisfying customer service experience when buying hardware from Touchpoint. Abhushan has several years of experience in the Australian IT industry across the Telco and System Integrator sectors. In his spare time he enjoys a quick 10km run before flaking on the couch with a bowl of pasta and settling in to watch his favourite series on Netflix.
Nanching heads up the Logistics function here at Touchpoint. From next-door to the other side of the world, Nanching manages the safe delivery of all equipment to our customers and oversees the tight set of systems and processes that guarantee the quality of our products. When not at work Nanching can be found lifting some seriously heavy weights in the gym (or refuelling just the right amount of protein and carbs post-workout!).
Technical Services Manager
Jack is our Technical Services manager here at Touchpoint. He takes great care to ensure all equipment passes safely through our rigorous testing and QA processes. Jack has many years of experience in the IT industry including field engineering gigs for Fujitsu and Acer and has a strong passion for Data Centre hardware. When not carefully scrutinising a server Jack loves spending time with his kids Amelie and Dylan or finishing off his latest home improvement project.
Solution Delivery Specialist
Deb’s role in the Touchpoint team is that of Solution Delivery Specialist. Deb comes to the team with a problem solving, customer centric mindset having successfully completed an Engineering degree at UNSW and a Customer Service role in the Service Delivery Team for UBank. Deb’s role here at Touchpoint is to ensure all orders run smoothly and to keep our customers updated and informed every step of the way. In his spare time Deb is a passionate football (soccer) fan and player who can often be found with his team at one of his local grounds.
Karen is our Finance Manager at Touchpoint and is our longest serving employee having been with us since the early days. A multi-tasking machine, Karen manages our accounts whilst also completing an accounting degree at university and raising her four children – Nicholas, Mitchell, Jessica and Jake. Karen looks forward to having some spare time when she completes her studies later this year.
Digital Marketing Manager
Tom oversees Touchpoint’s Digital Marketing ensuring we do a good job of helping new customers find us and understand how we can help them to buy, sell, rent or recycle their IT hardware. Tom brings a great range of skills to this role with a degree in Information Technology, and several years of experience in consulting and building websites that really connect with customers. When not bent over a laptop hammering out HTML code, Tom is typically found playing for his local cricket team or barracking for his beloved South Sydney Rabbitohs.
