Nick Asscher
Owner, Director
Nick co-founded Touchpoint in 2009. Nick has over 20 years experience in the Australian IT industry and originally cut his teeth delivering support solutions for IBM and Sun Unix systems in the late 90s. When not at his desk Nick can regularly be found coaching one of his kids’ footy teams or trying to finish his latest home renovation project.
Bill Freeman
Owner, Director
Bill co-founded Touchpoint in 2009. Bill has more than 20 years experience in the Australian IT industry supplying everything from the latest cutting edge technology through to the building and running of complex legacy sustainment solutions. Dedicated to customer success, Bill and the team can help you design, source and build the solution you need. Outside of the office Bill is often found on the water chasing pelagics or crafting his next woodwork masterpiece in the workshop.
Sonya Hunter
Finance Manager
Sonya takes excellent care of all things Finance here at Touchpoint and provides great operational support to the Sales and Solutions teams. To this role Sonya brings more than 30 years of commercial experience guiding the growth of a range of electrical, electronic, IT and heavy engineering businesses. In her spare time Sonya loves travelling and spending time with family and friends. Every year, come rugby league season, Sonya transforms into a one-eyed, die-hard Parramatta fan. Go Parra!
Pedr Cain
Sales Controller
Pedr oversees the sales activity here at Touchpoint, ensuring all customers receive the high quality of customer service that we strongly believe sets us apart in this industry. Pedr built and sold his first computers while in university and has been assisting customers with their data centre and ‘hard to find’ IT needs for most of the 20+ years since. When he’s not logged onto his email it’s generally because he’s watching a live performance somewhere, hiking in some remote corner of the globe or 20m underwater. In the remainder of his time Pedr pursues his long term goal of ‘completing’ Netflix.
Alan Carroll
Senior Account Manager
Alan has joined the Touchpoint sales team as a Senior Account Manager. He brings a wealth of experience to the team; his career boasts more than 20 years working at vendors including EMC, Dell and Lenovo. After 10 years at Dell he’ll happily entertain any discussion related to servers, storage and data protection. Outside of work, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, watching sports like cricket, NRL and motor racing, and enjoying time on the water boating and fishing.
Hugh Rochester
Key Accounts Manager
As our Key Accounts Manager, Hugh works closely with Touchpoint’s strategic customers, ensuring that their requirements are being met. His ability to provide a high level of customer service stems from several years of experience in relationship management at Optus and a couple of technology start-ups where he dealt with large, complex organisations in a variety of industries. Away from the office Hugh can be found in the kitchen perfecting his coffee brewing technique, working out at the gym or at a gig trying to achieve his goal of seeing 200 bands in a year.
Faz Mostafa
Enterprise Account Manager
Faz is one of our dedicated Account Managers working closely with our Solutions Team. To this role he brings 10 years of experience assisting customers with enquiries and ensuring smooth solution delivery. Faz grew up in a theatre family, has been in several productions around Australia and still collaborates with his Dad to write scripts and produce short films. Outside of work he’s either playing sport or watching sport and when time allows, he’s slowly working towards his goal of owning every colour of Converse shoe ever made (over 60 at last count!).
Cameron Vick
Account Manager
Cam has joined our growing sales team as an Account Manager. He brings some great skills and capability developed from his part time work at JB Hi Fi as well as his degree in Psychology! Cam loves three things – getting lost in the great outdoors, basketball (go Lakers!) and new technology. Outside of work he can often be found tearing around on his motorbike, either in the bush or on the way to the courts to shoot some hoops. Cam’s greatest passion is travel and he is steadily working towards seeing the world, one country at a time!
Glen Schweikert
Account Manager
Glen joins Touchpoint as an Account Manager, adding further strength to our sales team. Glen has honed his customer services skills and industry knowledge through years of experience at a global IT distribution company. He looks forward using these attributes to ensure customer requirements are being met to the highest standard. When he’s not hard at work assisting customers, Glen can be found keeping fit either at the gym or out on a walk, losing track of time whilst lost in a good book or in the kitchen perfecting his latest culinary obsession.
Abhushan Shrestha
Solutions Manager
Abhushan is a key member of the Touchpoint Solutions Team focused on building quotes, sourcing equipment and coordinating our global network of suppliers. His primary task is the regular provision of email updates and phone check-ins to ensure each of our customers know exactly what is happening with their order and ultimately has a truly satisfying customer service experience when buying hardware from Touchpoint. Abhushan has several years of experience in the Australian IT industry across the Telco and System Integrator sectors. In his spare time he enjoys a quick 10km run before flaking on the couch with a bowl of pasta and settling in to watch his favourite series on Netflix.
Nishcal Ghimire
Solutions Specialist
Nish has joined the Touchpoint team as a Solutions Specialist. He works closely with Abhushan on quote building, sourcing, supplier coordination and customer check-ins. Nish is passionate about all things technology and he brings valuable experience from his previous roles in customer service and retail. Outside of the office Nish enjoys travelling – exploring new places, relaxing by the calm sea and looking for perfect sunset spots – or staying home to cook a delicious meal before settling in to stream a good anime or thriller.
Jack Yang
Technical Services Manager
Jack is our Technical Services manager here at Touchpoint. He takes great care to ensure all equipment passes safely through our rigorous testing and QA processes. Jack has many years of experience in the IT industry including field engineering gigs for Fujitsu and Acer and has a strong passion for Data Centre hardware. When not carefully scrutinising a server Jack loves spending time with his kids or finishing off his latest home improvement project.
Howie Li
Technical Services Specialist
Howie is one of our Technical Services Specialists. He brings a range of skills to the role after spending time in sales and customer service at JB Hi-Fi and then a more technical role at Scorptec where he worked on everything from system assembly and diagnostics to sales and warranty. At Touchpoint Howie works closely with Jack to ensure all equipment is thoroughly tested and of the highest quality. After a day of meticulously examining hardware, Howie enjoys a variety of pastimes including gaming, working on cars and watching TV before winding down with a relaxing drive to 7/11 for a hot chocolate.
Karim Khoury
Logistics Specialist
Karim is a Logistics Specialist here at Touchpoint. He boasts over 10 years of experience, many of which were spent over in Qatar, in operations and logistics within the IT sector. Karim is dedicated to ensuring seamless logistical operations, so equipment from Touchpoint is received on time and in prime condition. When not in the office, you can find Karim relaxing whilst casting a line, planning his next big trip or showing his competitive side on the pickleball and tennis courts.
Sebastian Jackson
Jnr Technical Services Engineer/Solutions Delivery Specialist
Sebastian joins our Technical Services team as a Jnr Technical Services Engineer & Solutions Delivery Specialist. He is responsible for keeping up Touchpoint’s high standard of quality across both technical and logistical operations. After three years of experience as a technical supervisor at Mwave, there is nothing in the world of IT hardware that Seb can’t fix. Outside of our tech centre Seb can be found flexing his creativity in game of Dungeons & Dragons or working on a programming project.
Miah Taniela
ESG Specialist
As our ESG Specialist, Miah is responsible for ensuring that we meet our compliance obligations while enhancing our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance. He is tasked with maintaining and improving our standards in quality, safety and information security and is passionate about helping Touchpoint to be a force for good. From his previous roles he brings extensive experience in sales and operations. In his spare time, Miah can be found in his backyard enjoying the freshness of the Blue Mountains or cheering on his kids at their weekend sports events.
Mike Buyanjargal
Assistant Accountant
Mike has joined the team as an Assistant Accountant. He is a welcome addition to Sonya’s finance team to which he brings several years of accounting experience in Australia and Mongolia. Mike values himself as a dedicated young professional and is well advanced in his CPA qualification. Outside of work he is engaged in the Mongolian community, participating in activities and events for professionals in Sydney. Mike also enjoys relaxing by kicking back and putting on a classic episode of Friends.
Tom Carden
Digital Marketing Manager
Tom oversees Touchpoint’s Digital Marketing ensuring we do a good job of helping new customers find us and understand how we can help them to buy, sell, rent or recycle their IT hardware. Tom brings a great range of skills to this role with a degree in Information Technology, and several years of experience in consulting and building websites that really connect with customers. When not bent over a laptop hammering out HTML code, Tom is typically found playing for his local cricket team or barracking for his beloved South Sydney Rabbitohs.
