The Sun Fire V240 servers are UltraSPARC® IIIi based machines that are rackmountable. The servers come with the Solaris™ 10 Operating System (OS), the Java™ Enterprise System, and the Advanced Lights Out Manager software preinstalled as a software image on the boot drive. The server features four Gigabit Ethernet ports, one 10BASE-T Ethernet port for ALOM, two serial ports, two USB ports, one UltraSCSI LVD port, and up to 16 gigabytes of memory.
