Panasonic has released a new tablet in the Enterprise grade rugged Toughbook range. The FZ-A3 sees a move away from a Windows operating system, after Windows withdrew support for software on this category of device, and instead will run Android 9.0. In conjunction, Panasonic has also created a platform (Productivity+) to help smooth migrations to Android on existing hardware.
The new FZ-A3 has a 10.1 inch display and boasts a build quality that meets the latest MIL-STD-810H rugged standards, including up to 1.5m drop resistance, IP65 water and dust resistance and a glove-enabled capacitive touchscreen. Under the hood the tablet has an 4×4(Octa Core) Qualcomm processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage and 9-15 hours of battery life (depending on battery choice).
