RAD ASMi-52L/4ETH/4W 4-Port Ethernet 4-Wire SHDSL Modem / Multiplexer

The ASMi-52L/4ETH/4W is a compact SHDSL modem designed to extend Ethernet services over two copper pairs using 4-wire SHDSL transmission. It enables higher throughput and improved reach compared to 2-wire variants, making it suitable for defence networks, utilities, transport systems, industrial environments and campus deployments.

By utilising dual-pair SHDSL technology, the unit delivers increased symmetrical bandwidth while maintaining reliable Layer 2 Ethernet bridging. Four integrated 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports allow multiple IP devices to be connected and transported transparently across existing copper infrastructure.

This model is ideal where additional copper pairs are available and higher performance is required without deploying fibre.

Key Capabilities

  • 4 × 10/100Base-T Ethernet interfaces

  • 4-wire SHDSL transmission (two copper pairs)

  • Higher symmetrical bandwidth compared to 2-wire models

  • Transparent Layer 2 Ethernet bridging

  • Auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX support

  • Local and remote loopback diagnostics

  • Compact standalone deployment
