The IER 517 is the perfect entry level solution for ATB2 printing in TravelAgencies.

A new innovative design

Users benefit from the IER 517’s innovative simple electromechanical design. The IER 517 is a lightweight machine (ca 10 lbs), based on a plug and play or office printer concept. In fact, the IER 517 can be directly installed by the user or easily swapped for maintenance purposes. This small, tabletop design incorporates a clamshell (oyster) opening which provides easy access to change or clean the printhead and also to clear any jammed documents. Jams are rare due to the IER 517’s simple, linear paper path. Manufactured with a high pressure moulded plastic and very few parts, the IER 517 is durable and reliable. The IER 517 is the industry’s answer of choice both in price and performance.

Versatile, smart and reliable

The IER 517 handles a full range of direct thermal ATB documents for ticketing, mini- itineraries and more. The IER 517 is designed as a low-volume printer and can print 10 fully encoded, SCN verified, direct thermal ATB documents per minute. Paper loading is motorized for one easy hand document loading. The IER 517 can be equipped with either a 1,000 or a 500 secured input bin. It has one or two input slots for fanfold ATB documents. The IER 517 can also have an optional 50 coupon secured output stacker.

A new generation of software

The software of the IER 517 is based on a modular concept using Object Oriented Language, which improves the ease of modification, debugging and overall reliability. The software is totally AEA 95 compatible and uses scalable fonts. It features proactive maintenance, downline loading of customized applications, SCN handling and a lot of graphic possibilities to print logos, templates and more.
